OK, well that perhaps gives slightly the wrong idea. Chandos Records are turning 30 this year, so they’ve released an amazing box-set of 30 of their best CDs – award-winners, landmark recordings, etc. – for the stupidly low price of £36 including postage anywhere in the UK. How was I supposed to resist?? Especially when it includes Uncle Charlie conducting Janacek’s Glagolitic Mass which we hope to see him do in person in Brno in September?
