Font fun

Redesigned the Aubade site! I've been meaning to do this for months now, and have been too busy with 'real' work to actually achieve it. Anyway, here it is.

The new design uses a couple of fab fonts I found online today - inspired by the latest issue of Desktop magazine ('About Face: the Desktop font special'), I went off a-hunting and came up with some lovely lovely freeeeee ones: Red Five (used for the lower-frame heading, the navigation buttons and the initial letter in the location graphic) comes from German foundry eyesaw fonts who usually have some lovely goodies (I used their Plakat font for the cover of Pieces of Eight). CropBats, which was the source of the blue circles on the background graphic, comes from Astigmatic One Eye and is a dingbat font documenting ... crop circles. Unusual, but very decorative.

All this was by way of taking a break before launching myself into two new website projects:

The first is a site for Reckless Moments, an Adelaide-based production company who produce the awesome Sydney Spring International Festival of New Music. This is a first site for them and will be very purple.

The second is a redesign of the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy site. This is going to be a challenge as the whole site will have to be as accessible as possible, so I've spent a number of hours today surfing the World Wide Web Consortium's accessibility pages. Very instructive.
